Ovosan as a key factor in supporting treatment and preventing cancer: Ms. Martina’s story

Supporting the effectiveness of conventional cancer treatment with Ovosan

Ms. Martina from Dubnice nad Váhom is a 49-year-old woman who originally went to the doctor because of anemia. But then came the turning point when, after several medical examinations, she was diagnosed with colon cancer. Although this diagnosis was shocking for Ms. Martina and her family, she decided to fight and underwent a series of treatments, including surgery and chemotherapy.

In June 2017, she underwent an esophagogastroduodenoscopy ( note: examination of the esophagus, stomach, and duodenum, performed using a thin, flexible endoscope with a light and camera at the end ), which revealed pale mucous membranes. A subsequent colonoscopy in July 2017 discovered a tumor in the intestines, which was later confirmed as malignant adenocarcinoma, or a malignant tumor that has the ability to grow rapidly and spread to surrounding tissues and other parts of the body (metastasize). In August 2017, Ms. Martina underwent surgery to remove part of her large intestine, including the rectum, where the tumor was removed. Histological examination confirmed the presence of metastases in eight of nineteen lymph nodes.

The treatment then continued with a combination of radiotherapy and chemotherapy. At the same time, Ms. Martina was started on the dietary supplement Ovosan with the aim of supporting the effectiveness of the treatment, minimizing side effects and maintaining the best possible quality of life.

The role of Ovosan in the treatment and prevention of relapse

Ms. Martina started taking Ovosan approximately two weeks before the start of radiotherapy at a dose of 3×8 capsules per day for the first month and then simultaneously with chemotherapy at a dose of 3×7 capsules per day. After achieving good results of the control CT after four cycles of chemotherapy, the dose of Ovosan was gradually reduced. From September 2018, after positive results of the controls and colonoscopy, the dose of Ovosan was reduced to 3×3 capsules per day, then to 3×2 capsules per day. The plan was to stop the dosage of Ovosan and restart it after six months to prevent recurrence of the disease.

Two years after the end of oncological treatment, there is a statistically significant decrease in the risk of disease recurrence. Therefore, Ovosan was used only in a preventive dose, i.e. once a year for three years until the patient was removed from the oncological registry. This is the same prevention that we recommend for all healthy people.

Current status: How is Ms. Martina doing now?

The last oncological check-up took place in November 2022 and Ms. Martina was without signs of recurrence or new pathology. The patient wished to continue taking Ovosan at a dose of 3×1 capsule per day for another six months and then start the first six-month break and the prevention system.

Ms. Martina has a very positive experience with Ovosan. “Every year I try to give Ovosan as follows – 2 months 3×3 a day, 2 months 3×2 a day and then 2 months 3×1 a day. I believe that Ovosan helped me, and I am grateful that the information about him reached me in time. I thank the doctors for their help and valuable information.”

Ms. Martina’s story is proof of the important role complementary therapy can play in the fight against cancer, combined with conventional treatment. Ovosan not only supported the effectiveness of the treatment, but also helped Ms. Martina maintain a high quality of life during a difficult period.
